Kiev 16mm Film

.

Above - early 10x14mm film, and below a Vega 1 type cassette with spring clip to hold the film. this cassette fits Minolta 16 cameras and the later Vega 2 type.

Information on reloading the Kiev cassettes can be found at the SubClub.org (http://www.subclub.org/darkroom/rollkiev.htm)

Kiev Vega 2 cassette disassembled. The take up spool has a metal clip, making it easy to load 16mm film yourself. The take up spool is of a smaller diameter. This allowed the Vega 2 to have 30 exposures and the 13x17 Kiev 30 to have 25 exposures.

Cassette and case.

Kiev cassette and case compared with the Minolta cassette and case.
