Better constructed and heavier than most HIT type cameras this is one of the more able cameras using 17.5mm film. The Meteor is marked "Made in Occupied Japan" and has the distinct angular style of the Beauty 14, Epochs and Vestkam.

The spool is also better made than the standard spool for HIT type film, seen below next to the standard type of holder and has a thicker top with a long through slot.
