Introduction and contents

The Italian Lucky and Luckyflex cameras are not subminiatures, besides having a standard 35mm negative they exceed the 4 inches rule. They are however still small and collected by subminiature enthusiasts.

Significantly larger than a Minox 35ML.

Lucky

Manufactured by G.G.S in Mialn, Italy in 1948 the Lucky is a small inexpensive 35mm camera. Solar Anastigmat f3.2 50mm in leaf shutter 1/20 - 1/200 second. Aperture is marked 6.3, 9, 12.5, and 18.

 About 3000 where made and sold in Italy.

Top auction price December 1991 550USD. Currently 200-300USD.

Luckyflex

Small TLR for 24x36mm exposures on 35mm film made in 1948. Solar Anastigmat f3.2 50mm in leaf shutter. Viewing lens externally gear-coupled to taking lens. About 2000 where manufactured.

Two versions where made, one with a simple wind knob for film advance and the later model with a vertically mounted rapid advance lever.
