AF 90  - Minox 35mm

introduction | accessories | Minox EL | Minox PL | Minox ML | Minox AF | Minox CD | Minox DC | Compared

The Minox AF90 has a handbook dated November 1990, which may be the '90' in the model name. It has a 35mm f3.8 3 elements in 3 groups with automatic exposure EV12-15 at ISO 100. Shutter speed is 1/30th to 1/250th second. The autofocus is from 1.5m (5 ft) to infinity and has an AF-lock option. There is a lens cover which is also the on/off switch.

Perhaps the forerunner of the CD range it has automatic film speed (DX), automatic exposure, auto flash, automatic focusing, automatic film loading/advancing/rewinding. It uses two AA-size 3V batteries.

It is 130x69x47 mm (5.1 x 2.7 x 1.8 inches) 206g (7oz) without battery.

If not for the base having in small red lettering "MINOX GIESSEN, GERMANY" as well as the Minox address on the dual German/English manual it would be impossible to believe that Minox ever allowed their name to be put on this cheap plastic camera.

Ebay *2004/01/18 10EUR
