Minox CD70 compared to Leica Z2X

introduction | accessories | Minox EL | Minox PL | Minox ML | Minox AF | Minox CD | Minox DC | Compared

The Leica Z2X, shown here in the special edition Jaguar green has a Vario-Elmar 35-70mm lens.

The camera has soft curves, well balanced and inspires confidence in the user. Set fully automatic the user needs to do nothing but zoom in and out with the toggle switch next to the shutter release.

By comparison the Minox CD70 with a Minoctar 35-70mm is angular, box like and has an awkward zoom control located on the front of the camera.

At this time Minox was owned by Leica and so the comparison could not be more apt nor more disappointing.
