Rollei only made 1,500 Rollei 35 S in gold in celebration of 60 years of the company. Manufactured in Singapore between December 1979 and February 1980. Every part, but the lens barrel is 24K gold plated.

Supplied in a mahogany wooden box with light brown alligator patterned leather case, wrist strap (with gold plated clip), golden manual cover, certificate and lens cap. An engraving plate could be placed on the back of the camera.
