Fujicolor 007

Introduction | Acmel MD black, silver-grey | Fujicolor MC 007 | Fujicolor M2 | Minox MX | Revue MD | Film | MDX flash

A 1997 entrant, announced in Amateur Photographer 1st March 1997. Very similar to, if not the same as, the Acmel MD. The lens is a focusing 15 mm (f/3.5).  Shutter speeds of 2 secs - 1/500. Built in CDS meter -- EV 5-13 (ISO 100). Focus settings of infinity to 1 foot.  Leuchtrahmensucher (finder) with two LED, a green one for "aperture is open" and a red one for "long time" (with a separate way/button to test "long time" like on the Minox C)  ISO 25 - 400. Batteries CR-1/3N two pieces. 84mm x 37 mm x 21mm. Weight 55g.

The flash -- Ms-008 -- is a small unit (61mmx42mmx20mm, 38 grams) with a guide number of 8 (100 ISO). The flash is the same as the ACMEL MD's unit. A very cute unit which is autoflash and can adapt the quench point to different film speeds with a constant aperture (f/5.6). Why they call it an f/3.5 lens is beyond me!  It uses a CR-123 battery and recharges almost instantly. The 3 prongs which couple it to the camera are identical to those for the Minox flash and the EC, and the attachment appears to have been licensed from Minox, but the Acmel unit will not sync with all Minox cameras working with some cameras and not at all with others.
