The ring on the lens has ISO film settings of 25, 100 and 400. These are referred to in the handbook, but like other levers and dials do not appear to do anything useful. The film chamber is opened by turning lifting up the ring and twisting. The 'Push Down' does indeed press the button in, but has no part  in opening the film chamber. Although larger than the Leica IIIf (93g) model and heavier (164g), it is not to the same scale. It has a distinct plastic feel. The presentation box is idea for putting the camera on display - it's real function.
