Minox 8x11 - Minox Token

The tokens, stamped with the Minox eye logo and a serial number were used during the assembly of a camera. Each technician was issued with 10 tokens. These where then used to book out specialised tools. The supervisor would do periodic spot checks on the tools and who currently had them booked out.

The use of the tokens continue until the mid-1990s. At the peak of production there where over 200 technicians employed at the Minox factory. Thousands of tokens where made over the years and retained by the workers when they left or retired. Some may have been polished and presented to the worker as some appear for auction in neat presentation boxes.
