 Amateur Photography, GBR, 120th anniversary issue, 30 October 2004 included a 10-year notes on "Great Classic Cameras"... for 1990-2000:-

 "The Minolta Vectis series of APS SLRs appeared in 1996, bringing greater lightness and compactness to SLR photography."

Short praise for a camera that already achieved the accolade as a classic in such a short time.

Although the S1 and S100 cameras stand out for design and quality the same can not be said of the Vectis compact APS cameras that have a history of being unreliable, even when new.
