Nuvis V features in detail

Compact, contemporary design
The Nuvis V, though extremely small and light, is packed with valuable features. Its supreme portability, along with its modern design, give users the freedom to take quality pictures whenever and wherever they wish—in style.

Advanced autofocus technology
The Nuvis V incorporates Nikon's cutting-edge technology, and delivers sharp focus throughout the 22.5-66mm zoom range. AF-Assist Illuminator gives focus capability a boost when ambient light is poor.

High-performance 3x zoom lens
This new camera features Nikon's world-renowned optics, employing a 22.5-66mm zoom lens to give users the ability to take quality shots from a variety of perspectives. Colour reproduction is superb thanks to multi-coating and two aspherical lens elements. Close Range Correction (CRC) technology makes it possible to capture small subjects in great detail. And the Nuvis V's small f-number (f/5.2-7.7) means a fast shutter speed, which helps prevent image blur caused by camera shake during telephoto shooting and results in more highly defined pictures.

Versatile flash capabilities
The flash functions offered by the Nuvis V allow shooting under an incredibly broad range of conditions.
Auto Flash
Take super pictures in low light or even when the subject is backlit, as the flash fires automatically in these conditions.
Slow Sync
Lets users capture images more naturally, particularly when the background is illuminated.
Red-Eye Reduction
A pre-flash lamp lights up, neutralising the red-eye effect.
Anytime Flash
Flash pictures can be taken anytime—even in brightly lit environments.
Flash Cancel
Add some character to pictures by using ambient light only.

Built-in dioptre adjustment
Wearers of eyeglasses can comfortably shoot thanks to the dioptre adjustment range of -1.5 to +1.5m-1.

Electronically controlled self-timer
The 10-second delay gives users plenty of time to get in the frame themselves. The light starts blinking just before the scene is captured.

Optional remote control
The wireless ML-L1 is effective as far as 5m (16.4 ft.) straight away from the subject, and features a battery life of approximately 10 years.

Advanced Photo System™ features
Mid-roll Change (MRC)
Users can remove a partially completed roll of film and insert a new or partially used roll. The rolls can even be of different sensitivity. The Nuvis V automatically winds the film to the proper place for the next picture.
Drop-in loading mechanism
This feature makes loading film a snap, and prevents the insertion of an exposed roll of film.
Date and Title Imprint
Print the date and time of the photo, as well as any one of 30 messages in any one of 12 languages on the back of each photo.
Index Print
This print comprises mini-shots of each picture on the roll and identifies the roll number, making it easy to get extra or repeat prints.
Three print types
Classic (C), wide vision (H) and panoramic (P) are available, and pictures of any of the three sizes can be taken on the same roll.
