PenCam VR

The 20th century produced an abundance of exciting new technologies; the
airplane, the home computer, the internet… now, as the 21st century unfolds, we have seen the birth of an exciting new technology: the Aiptek PenCam.  The original model had the unique ability of being able to be used as a web camera, digital still camera, and digital camcorder, all in one compact device that can hide in the palm of your hand! 

If you need to get in touch with your business associate on the other side of the world, use the PenCam as a PC camera for video-conferencing.  Suppose you want to send a snapshot of your newborn baby to your parents?  The PenCam can also be used as a digital still camera!  Now suppose your baby is taking his first steps: shoot a quick video in digital camcorder mode and you can send it out before he even falls down!  All of these exciting options are what made the Aiptek PenCam such a hot seller this past holiday season.  Today, Aiptek Inc . is very pleased to announce the release of the latest generation in the PenCam family.

In addition to all of the exciting features of its predecessor, the brand new PenCam VR also gives you the ability to record up to thirteen minutes of audio, or you can annotate any of the 107 full-color snapshots that it allows you to take!

Voice Recorder-  The new audio record function makes your PenCam ideal for dictation, allowing play back on the PenCam's internal speaker or uploading to your PC.  You can take up to 13 minutes of audio with the new PenCam VR!

Voice Annotation-   Add sound and life to your pictures!  Your pictures can really be worth a thousand words.  Take a snapshot, and then record an audio sample to accompany it.  Then using the PenCam Manager, you can mix the two together to create a talking image.  

Digital Camera-  You can take the PenCam with you anywhere.  Take snapshots in either high resolution, or low resolution.  In Hr, you can take up to 26 snapshots.  In Lr, you can take 107 snapshots.  After downloading the pictures taken, you can edit any of the photos.  
Note: Interpolated pictures (1024 x 768) are 2 1/2 times bigger than high resolution (640 x 480) mode

Digital Camcorder-  You can also take video with your PenCam.  In high resolution, you can take up to 7 seconds of full live motion video.  In low resolution, you can take up to 20 seconds of full live motion video.  

PC Camera-  Attach the camera to your system using the supplied USB cable. Then open any of the video-based programs included to use the PenCam as a PC camera. Try using it for video-conferencing in a program like Microsoft NetMeeting
