Smart Technology by CASIO
HCLi (Hyper CCD-Lens integration)
An inverted tessar lens structure creates the compact configuration required for the camera's thin design. Totally new hyper CCD lens integration (HCLi) combines an aspherical lens with a new type of CCD that enhances optical properties. The result is an amazing reduction in lens module thickness.
Digital Interface TFT LCD
The Exilim is the world's first digital camera to use a new digital interface TFT LCD.
The digital interface eliminates the need for a converter, which reduces the size of the circuit board by 10%* and greatly reduces the number of components required.
*Compared with previous CASIO technology.
MCM (Multi Chip Module)
CPU, ASIC, SDRAM, and flash memory chips are combined into a single module at the silicon chip level. This addsup to a 70%* reduction in the required circuit board area, a reduction in power consumption by about 1/3, and less noise.
*Compared with previous CASIO products.
*LCD monitor equipped digital cameras as of May 13, 2002 (according to information available to CASIO)
