Minolta 16MG-s/QT - accessories

The Minolta 16 MG-s and 16 QT share many of the same accessories. 

The flash bulb unit is stamped with  MG-s. Some samples of the flash cube unit are stamped MG-s but others have no model engraving.

The Close-up lens for 25cm is designed for use with the copy stand as the viewer is covered. No chain is available and so it's use with the QT is more difficult. The QT will not fit into the copy stand.

The MG-s is a systems camera and so at least three styles of system cases where available:-

• The black wooden presentation box with strap, film and flash cube unit
• The standard kit with strap, film, flash cube and flash bulb units, strobe adapter, two close up lenses (40 and 80cm) with chains and the three filters in a black plastic covered wooden box with aluminium edges.
• The Deluxe kit with strap, film, flash cube and flash bulb units, strobe adapter, three close up lenses (25, 40 and 80cm) with chains, copy stand and the three filters in a tough sponge lined attaché case.

The QT was supplied in at least three styles of packaging

• The plastic presentation box with strap, flash cube unit
• The black wooden presentation box with strap, P Electronic Flash, strobe adapter, film, leather belt case for the camera and a black plastic case for the flash.
• The box with camera and leather pouch case (only found with the later ft/m scale version of the camera)

These presentation cases and system boxes have no internal space for a camera case or for the cases for the filters and close-up lenses. The picture box for these cases had a separate white cardboard box to contain the cases. The picture box for the QT is larger than the picture boxes for the MG and MG-s and the leather case and P flash case are in a separate box that fits inside the picture box.
